Baseball Season Ends in the Playoffs

The guys from GCCS are to be commended for their hard work during the baseball season. The season started on very cold March day with a 12 to 1 loss to Cumberland. The team, however, progressed and made it to the playoffs. After winning the preliminary game 7 to 1 against the very same Cumberland team the guys had their hands full against the boys from Atlantic. The championship game ended in a 7 to 3 loss. This was Coach Gerry DeLoach’s first year at the helm for the GCCS squad. His brother Lee DeLoach was the assistant coach.

All-star selections included: Sean Ryan was named to the first team all-stars. Second team all-stars from GCCS- Gaige Colella, Danny Mulder, and Brady Mariner.

The team ended in the season is second place and lost in the finals of the league tournament.
