In 1964, Mr. Horace Hoey and a group of concerned Christian parents purchased a government owned Nike missile base and founded the Gloucester County Christian Day School on its premises, and in 1978 it was placed within the ministry of Bethel Community Church.
At that time it had approximately 80 students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, and the school experienced God’s blessing in many ways.
In May 1997, Hardingville Bible Church assumed the ministry with approximately 260 students in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade.
Since then, the Lord has chosen to greatly use the ministry of GCCS, and He has continued His blessing upon it.
The new high school education facility was completed in the fall of 2011.
It houses a full size gymnasium, dedicated chapel and lunch rooms, classrooms, and science labs.
