The Labels for Education program was a national school fund raising program designed with busy families in mind as an alternative to traditional fund raising. GCCS started in the Campbell’s Labels for Education program in the 1981-1982 school year and was involved for 36 years until the program ended in January of 2018.
During that time, Gloucester students, parents, friends, staff, and faculty collected over 1,000,000 labels!
From the points earned from those labels over the years, Gloucester was able to purchase the following classroom items for free:
- Overhead projectors
- Color TV/VCR combos
- VHS & DVD players
- VHS tapes, CD’s and DVD’s
- A/V carts
- Tape recorders
- Headphones
- Megaphones
- Folding tables
- Kindergarten kitchen set
- Preschool clubhouse climber
- Large gym parachute
- Numerous playground balls, basketballs, footballs, soccer balls
- Indoor hockey nets and sticks
- Ring hockey set
- Balance beam
- Baseball bases
- Scooter boards
- Gym tunnel
- Preschool puzzles
- Math visuals
- Band instruments
- Visa gift cards – During the 2016-2017 school year these gift cards purchased all the items and food needed for Grandparents Day!
We thank all those who donated labels over the years, helping make the program the success that it was here at Gloucester!
